The Role
As a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a key role in the design and development of our data items and data warehouses. You will be responsible for planning and implementing versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid). You will work closely with our data item managers, data modelers, and data architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and development of our data items and data warehouses
- Plan and implement versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Work closely with data item managers, data modelers, and data architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration
- Ensure high functional productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team
Key Capabilities
* Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experienced insight with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Wind current) and composing and maintaining data pipelines
- Solid knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard systems and practices
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
- You are a problem solver with strong analytical and relational skills
- Ideal to have experience with cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
