Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Call Center Representative – Electronic Medical Records Retrieval Specialist, you will be responsible for placing outbound telephone calls and/or other means of contact with healthcare provider offices to retrieve missing medical documentation. You will work closely with our team to ensure adherence to challenging project timelines, communicate effectively with external providers, and complete additional tasks as required to support our division.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform outbound telephone calls and/or other means of contact with each facility to complete the retrieval of medical records via fax, mail, through remote electronic medical record access, or by scheduling a visit at the provider location

  • Effectively communicate with team members and external providers to ensure adherence with challenging project timelines
  • Complete additional tasks as required to support our division, including data entry and quality assurance
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with healthcare providers and their staff
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with healthcare providers and their staff

Qualifications

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical records setting
  • Strong ability to handle fast-paced training programs and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to type 40 WPM with high accuracy
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
  • Must have your own work equipment, including a PC/Laptop, mouse, and headset
  • Must be computer savvy, with experience using Google Chrome and navigating multiple tabs

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and medical terminology is a plus
