Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Virtual Science Teachers to join our team of educators who are passionate about teaching science to students in grades 6 and above. As a Virtual Science Teacher, you will have the flexibility to work from home and choose your own schedule, part-time (up to 25 hours per week). You will be responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction to students, creating engaging lesson plans, and providing individualized support to students.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver live online instruction to students in grades 6 and above
- Create engaging lesson plans and activities that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Provide individualized support to students, including feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in online teaching and learning
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certificate for a grade level 6th or higher (preferably secondary)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching science to students in grades 6 and above
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience teaching online or in a virtual classroom setting
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design
- Experience working with diverse student populations and learning needs
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with online assessment and evaluation tools
