As a key member of our Supply Chain Management Infrastructure & Services Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Technology Infrastructure & Services Group, which includes Network and Infrastructure Engineering, Field Services, and Quality Management Office (QMO).

Job Summary

As a Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technology suppliers and categories, providing strategic sourcing and procurement expertise to support complex and high-value contracts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives, maximize value, and mitigate risk. Your expertise will be sought after by stakeholders across the organization, and you will be responsible for advising on common risk elements of supplier agreements, creating negotiation strategies, and managing supplier communications.

Responsibilities

* Advise technology and stakeholders on common risk elements of a supplier agreement and/or program or project

  • Assist leaders with decision-making processes by encouraging competitive evaluation of new suppliers through the RFP process
  • Create and implement negotiation strategies
  • Manage supplier communications and coordinates contract negotiation and strategic sourcing events
  • Collaborate with internal customers to gain a solid understanding of business requirements
  • Educate stakeholders and set expectations to achieve improved business outcomes and align around key positions on issues such as IP, data security, LOL, and SLA development
  • Manage on-going demand planning with technology and/or business stakeholders for assigned agreements and renewals
  • Support multiple technical categories, across multiple programs and areas of the business
  • Identify potential procurement opportunities through data analysis, category and industry knowledge, current and emerging business models, and discussions with stakeholders
  • Communicate performance and concerns with suppliers that may result in redefining the relationship
  • May perform other job duties as directed by employee's leaders

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
  • Proven track record of managing complex contracts and supplier relationships
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with strategic sourcing and procurement tools and technologies
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
  • Experience working in the airline or travel industry
  • Certification in supply chain management, such as CSCP or CPSM
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and negotiation principles
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools and technologies

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices
