About Centria Healthcare & Life Skills Autism Academy (LSAA)

Centria Healthcare is a nationally recognized leader in delivering person‑centered health and behavioral services. Our Life Skills Autism Academy (LSAA) is a dedicated, early‑intensive intervention hub that empowers children ages 0‑6 with autism to achieve meaningful milestones through evidence‑based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). At LSAA, we blend cutting‑edge science with a warm, family‑focused culture, creating an environment where every staff member feels valued, supported, and inspired to make a real difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Why This Role Is a Game‑Changer for Your Career

Joining LSAA as a Center‑Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) offers you a unique blend of hands‑on therapeutic practice, professional mentorship, and a clear pathway for growth. Alongside a competitive hourly wage of $20‑$23 (rising with experience and certifications), you will receive a $1,000 sign‑on bonus to celebrate your commitment to our mission. Whether you work from our vibrant Zionsville center or from a remote hub, you become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Board‑Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), speech‑language pathologists, and occupational therapists—all dedicated to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group ABA therapy to children with autism, following individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) crafted by a BCBA.
  • Implement skill‑acquisition programs targeting communication, social interaction, daily living, academics, motor skills, and behavior reduction.
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client performance using digital data collection tools to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Centria’s quality‑assurance standards.
  • Communicate client progress, challenges, and successes to parents, guardians, and caregivers under the guidance of the supervising BCBA.
  • Assist with caregiver training sessions, modeling ABA techniques that families can replicate at home.
  • Prepare therapy spaces, organize materials, and ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for each session.
  • Participate in at least 10% supervised therapy hours per client, incorporating feedback to continuously improve clinical outcomes.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper use of restraints (if authorized), emergency response procedures, and infection‑control guidelines.
  • Report critical incidents, safety concerns, and any deviation from the BIP promptly to supervisory staff.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, such as webinars, workshops, and certification renewals.

Essential Qualifications and Certifications

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it within the onboarding period (Centria provides training and mentorship).
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; post‑secondary coursework in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field is highly valued.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and capable of passing a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Reliable personal transportation or ability to commute safely to the Zionsville center (or designated remote hub).
  • Current Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
  • Clear Tuberculosis (TB) test result prior to client interaction and annually thereafter.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lb, kneeling, crawling, and quick movements to ensure client safety.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Experience and Additional Assets

  • Previous experience as a Behavioral Technician, Certified Autism Technician, CNA, Home Health Aide, or classroom aide in a preschool/pre‑K setting.
  • Hands‑on experience working with children who have autism, developmental delays, or other neurodivergent diagnoses.
  • Knowledge of or coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech‑Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or related therapeutic disciplines.
  • Fluency in a second language or cultural competency that enhances communication with diverse families.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, data‑collection apps (e.g., Catalyst, CentralReach), and basic Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Data‑Driven Practice: Ability to collect, interpret, and act upon quantitative behavioral data.
  • Positive Reinforcement Techniques: Skilled at using prompting, shaping, and reinforcement schedules to teach new skills.
