We're seeking an experienced Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Special Education Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students while enjoying a supportive and flexible work environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
- Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum
- Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes
- Exercise classroom and behavior management skills
- Share your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students
What You'll Need:
- Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
- Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- Complete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
- Complete a Background Check for the Colorado Department of Education (to receive your Substitute Authorization; you will not be reimbursed for the cost)
