Job Summary

As an Area Manager at blithequark, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. This is a part-time role that offers the flexibility to work from home and requires a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences

  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless operations
  • Collaborate with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to perform job duties
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, operations, or related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a customer-facing or operations environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and drive business results

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a customer service or operations role, preferably in a logistics or e-commerce environment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Experience working with diverse teams and populations, with a strong focus on inclusivity and diversity
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in software applications and systems
