As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a safe and clean shopping environment.

Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance. You will learn about our products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project. You will also be responsible for maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe. Your primary goal will be to provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
  • Work in cooperation with Department Supervisors and other associates in their department as well as other departments
  • Handle customer transactions, including processing sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and company promotions
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the home improvement industry

  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Certification in customer service or sales
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
