Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and contributing to the success of our retail stores. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position, with a variable schedule based on business needs and work performance.
Responsibilities
As a Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting and welcoming customers, demonstrating active selling, and providing product information and guidance to ensure a high-quality customer service experience
- Assisting in maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, setting up seasonal promotions/visual displays, and regularly monitoring assigned areas for product restocking and recovery
- Operating cash registers, assisting customers with check-out, and executing appropriate cash handling procedures
- Helping receive and process incoming merchandise, assisting with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests, and possibly handling seasonal perishable goods
- Supporting the digital and in-store shopping experience through assisting with responding to customer inquiries
- Driving a positive customer experience by building relationships, sharing product knowledge, and providing solutions to our customer's needs
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A pleasant personality, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for working with the public
- Moderate computer/systems competency and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to occasionally climb ladders, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed, and stand for long periods of time
- Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required
- Availability to work a variable schedule based on business needs and work performance, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
