About the Role: Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service Specialist

This exciting opportunity is part of the Corporate Affairs Team within the Government Affairs Division at blithequark. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling air travel on blithequark, preparing itineraries, computing fares, issuing refunds, and preparing and issuing tickets. Your exceptional customer service skills will be utilized to answer inquiries regarding general travel information and resolve customer problems in a mutually beneficial manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell air travel on blithequark to customers, highlighting the benefits and features of our services
  • Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, and prepare and issue tickets in a timely and efficient manner
  • Answer inquiries regarding general travel information, providing accurate and helpful responses to customer queries
  • Resolve customer problems in a mutually beneficial manner, utilizing your excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate with customers over the phone, researching passenger complaints, advising of cancelled or delayed flights, and providing updates on new rules, policies, and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and customer contact skills
  • Knowledge of Native SABRE or similar systems
  • Ability to be resourceful and creative in immediate problem resolution
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, exercise good judgment, and be dependable
  • Satisfactory attendance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Knowledge of the air travel industry and blithequark's services and policies
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
