Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician with Workwarp, your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing prior authorizations for coverage determination, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Obtaining verbal authorizations and requesting detailed clinical information from prescribers, as needed
• Approving or denying requests based on established criteria and entering decisions into the PBM system
• Notifying providers and members of decision outcomes, ensuring timely and accurate communication
• Responding to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service
• Referring requests for specialty drugs, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
• Contacting providers for additional information, as required
• Assisting with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls, if needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Experience in retail pharmacy, call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance health plans, including reimbursement policies and procedures
• National certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) and registration in the state where you reside
