Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in data entry and contribute to the success of our pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, under direct supervision
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging with patients and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Develop strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including prescription errors and claims for third-party prescription services
- Assist with outside and inside maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with sufficient supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in appearance
- Comply with all company guidelines and policies, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
Education & Personal Development
* Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the blithequark pharmacy technician training program and/or state required certification/registration
- Attend training and complete PPLs as assigned by the manager, acquiring continuing education credits
- Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments
- Through completion of the blithequark pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE)
Basic Qualifications
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician training program or certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with blithequark
- Desired math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Desired computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory management
- PTCB certification preferred
