Experienced Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern – Work From Home Opportunity for Spring 2025

We are seeking an experienced Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern to join our team in Orlando, Florida, for a 6-month full-time internship starting January 11th, 2025. As a remote-based intern, you will have the opportunity to work from home and be part of a dynamic team that creates and delivers remarkable entertainment experiences for Disney theme parks, resort hotels, cruise ships, and other locations worldwide.

About the Role & Program

As a Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern, you will report to the Area Manager of Character Inventory and be an integral part of our team that ensures we provide the best possible customer service to our sites and cast as we fulfill their costume needs. On any given day, you could assist with Corporate Character Costume orders, work with our Materials Handling team, support Operational garment needs, or focus on a site-specific project.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform SAP transactions such as organizing cycle counts, order processing, and costing that ensure accurate Costume inventory

  • Prepare journal entries and run month-end processing requirements
  • Review, analyze, and quality check data, identifying and elevating discrepancies for resolution and partnering with internal Costume team members to reconcile payment or quantities discrepancies with accounts payable
  • Prepare documentation for international sales and shipments
  • Forecasting material purchasing needs and space planning efforts

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Smartsheet

  • Knowledge of accounting and purchasing practices such as Accounts Payable
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Theater or performing background, ideal
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, recent graduate, or graduate student
  • Major or previous coursework in Business, Supply chain, Finance, Data Management, Fashion Merchandising, Costume Technology, Apparel Buying, Apparel Development, Sourcing, or related field

Education Requirements

* Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

Additional Requirements

* Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program
  • Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area and have reliable transportation to/from work (We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida-based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities; for more information, click here)
