Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Virtual Bookkeeper to join our team as a Remote Financial Management and Accounting Specialist. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch bookkeeping services to our clients, including financial statement preparation, budget management, and cash flow analysis. Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Pay Client's Bills on a Weekly Basis: Ensure timely and accurate payment of client invoices, including processing and reconciling payments.
• Bank Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile client bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Budget Management: Assist clients in creating and managing budgets, including tracking expenses and analyzing financial performance.
• Cash Flow Management: Analyze and manage client cash flow, including forecasting and recommending strategies to improve cash flow.
• Journal and Data Entry (Coding): Accurately record and code financial transactions in QuickBooks, including journal entries and data entry.
• Provide Clients with Weekly & Monthly Reports: Prepare and deliver regular financial reports to clients, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget vs. actual comparisons.
• Weekly/Monthly Balance Sheet (Statement of Financial Position): Prepare and review client balance sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Weekly/Monthly P&L (Income Statement): Prepare and review client income statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Weekly/Monthly Budget vs. Actual: Analyze and compare client budget vs. actual performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Other Custom Reports (as required): Prepare and deliver custom financial reports to clients as needed.
• Maintain and Manage Chart of Accounts: Ensure accuracy and completeness of client chart of accounts, including setting up and managing new accounts.
• Debit/Credit Cards Reconciliation: Reconcile client debit/credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• 1099 Preparation: Prepare and submit 1099 forms to clients as required.
• Process payroll: including set-up, scheduling, and frequency: Assist clients in setting up and managing payroll, including scheduling and frequency.
• E-Commerce Support: Provide support for client e-commerce operations, including managing online sales and inventory.
• Tax Filing: Assist clients in preparing and filing tax returns, including individual and business tax returns.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Virtual Bookkeeper, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field: A degree in a relevant field is required, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
• 5 years prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Payroll experience: Experience with payroll processing, including set-up, scheduling, and frequency.
• In-depth understanding of QuickBooks (desktop and online): A strong understanding of QuickBooks, including desktop and online versions, with experience in setting up and managing client accounts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with clients and colleagues in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification: A CPA certification is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software: Experience with cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, Sage, or other similar platforms.
