Role Description
Mercor is seeking experienced shipping, receiving, and inventory clerks to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in manufacturing logistics through hands-on scenario creation and validation. It's an opportunity to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule.
- Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world shipping, receiving, and inventory work in manufacturing based on your professional experience
- Create realistic situations involving shipment processing, receiving inspections, inventory tracking, and warehouse documentation
- Develop scenarios for handling discrepancies, coordinating with carriers, managing stock levels, and using inventory management systems
- Review and evaluate AI responses to logistics and inventory queries for accuracy and industry standards
- Provide detailed feedback on manufacturing logistics scenarios to improve AI training
Qualifications
- 4+ years professional experience as a shipping, receiving, or inventory clerk in manufacturing
- Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities
- Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems
- Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills
- Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz
- Average 14 years experience preferred
Requirements
- Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule
- Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
- Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks
Compensation & Contract Terms
- Independent contractor engagement through Mercor
- Hourly compensation, paid weekly via Stripe Connect
- Payments based on services rendered; contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods
