Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for acquiring the necessary skillset and knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and mail order resources to effectively answer and document member-related inquiries. Your primary objective will be to provide accurate and efficient solutions to our clients, ensuring complete satisfaction with our services. As a key member of our team, you will work under direct supervision, following standard procedures and best practices to accomplish assigned tasks, undergo job training, and assist staff members in completing daily duties.

  • Provide Help Desk phone coverage for incoming calls, outbound calls, and direct incoming calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Master and gain efficiency in systems leveraged by the Help Desk to resolve customer service issues and Pharmacy Network problems.
  • Assist with the startup of new clients, including new group enrollments, changes, and deletions.
  • Support on-site client orientation, health fairs, and business conferences as needed.
  • Perform office duties, such as copying, collating, mailings, filing, and credit card processing.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs, including HIPAA Privacy and Security Courses.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess exceptional phone and listening skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills. A preferred background in customer service or a related field, such as a Pharmacy Technician, would be advantageous. You should also be proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience as an Rx Technician or Customer Service Representative in a healthcare-related service.
  • Availability for scheduled work shifts and a commitment to punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a call center environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of PBM and mail order resources.
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
