Associate Software Engineer

Purpose

We are currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer with experience using Go (Golang) or another compiled language and with an  interest in API development to join our dynamic team of engineers dedicated to enhancing our safety and security platform. In this role, you will play a part in the hands-on design, development, testing and deployment of backend software systems. This includes crafting API endpoints, implementing Go microservices, and working with event management systems. 

Position Responsibilities

• Hands-on contributions solving lower-complexity software engineering problems
• Building and maintaining a suite of Go services with your team
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams effectively
• Supporting an Agile delivery process 

• Experience programming in Go or another compiled language
• Interest in learning new skills and technologies
• Familiarity with automated testing
• Familiarity with one or more API patterns
• Strong communication skills 
• Familiarity with event driven architecture
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
