Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with employees within the company and customers to collect information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Capturing data into relevant databases with precision and speed
  • Identifying and correcting errors, and promptly bringing them to the attention of relevant parties
  • Gathering reports, personal details, documents, and information from employees, other departments, and clients
  • Scanning through information to identify pertinent details
  • Correcting errors and organizing information to optimize swift and accurate capturing
  • Creating accurate spreadsheets and entering/updating information into relevant databases
  • Ensuring data is backed up and stored securely
  • Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered
  • Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to facilitate retrieval
  • Handling additional duties from time to time as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field, such as data entry, administration, or customer service
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
  • Proficient touch typing skills (at least 60 words per minute)

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Access, SQL)
  • Knowledge of data entry software and tools (e.g., Data Entry Software, OCR)
  • Certification in data entry or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Entry Specialist)
