About the Role
As an IT Operations Manager at blithequark, you'll be part of our AWS IT Services Support team, providing highly-available IT support to Amazon employees worldwide. You'll manage local and/or remote resources, assist in defining the perfect customer experience, and own strategies to create that experience. You'll help the team develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues, identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement, and set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage local and/or remote resources to provide highly-available IT support to Amazon employees worldwide
- Assist in defining the perfect customer experience and own strategies to create that experience
- Help the team develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues
- Identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement
- Set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization
- Guide the team with metrics and goals that clearly measure their success
Essential Qualifications:
* 5 years of experience developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations
- 2 years of experience leading technology teams as an IT Operations Manager
- Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with IT service management frameworks and tools
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and AWS services
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
