Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to work in our Virtual ED/Urgent Care department, located on-site at our UCHealth Peoria Office in Aurora, CO. As a Virtual ED/Urgent Care nurse, you will use your critical care skills and advanced knowledge base to monitor Emergency Department and Urgent Care patient populations from a remote monitoring center. You will work collaboratively with our team to identify trends and acute changes in patient condition, develop and implement patient care plans, and provide patient education and support. Key Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with bedside teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate's degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
