Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Remote Customer Support Specialist to join our team for the TurboTax Tax Season Support Program. As a key member of our support team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving complex issues related to tax preparation and filing. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer support via phone, chat, and email, resolving complex issues related to tax preparation and filing

  • Utilize active listening skills to understand customer needs and concerns, and respond with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and provide solutions that meet customer needs
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, tax laws, and industry developments to provide accurate and informed support
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including service level agreements, contact per hour commitments, and schedule adherence
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Essential Qualifications:

* High school graduate or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts (preferable)
  • Experience providing support in a call center environment (preferable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to diffuse situations with angry customers and maintain a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with software troubleshooting and technical support

  • Knowledge of tax preparation and filing software (e.g., TurboTax)
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
