Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination
  • Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections

You will work in a fast-paced environment, often in harsh weather conditions, and be required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

Scheduling and Work Environment

Scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts range from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority, and be required to be flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of our 24/7 operation. Our airport environment is dynamic and exciting, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $21.85 per hour, with regular pay increases through 10.5 years of service. In addition to your hourly rate, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least 18 years of age and authorization to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT)
  • Ability to wear required company-approved PPE
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal

You should also be able to consistently prioritize safety and security, embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles, and be willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
