Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in receiving and processing customer requests for technical assistance, submitting tickets into our ticketing system, and providing exceptional customer service through email responses. This is a permanent part-time opportunity with flexible hours, offering a starting pay of up to $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and processing customer requests for technical assistance through various channels (phone, email, chat, etc.)
  • Submitting tickets into our ticketing system for Help Desk technicians to review
  • Reviewing each open ticket to determine the outcome and updating the ticket accordingly
  • Emailing responses to customers to ensure they receive exceptional customer service and updates on their issues
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and ticket resolutions
  • Collaborating with Help Desk technicians to resolve complex issues and provide timely updates to customers
  • Staying organized and focused on closing out tickets quickly to ensure efficient resolution of customer issues

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in I.T. Help Desk ticketing or online customer service for a technology company or busy online retailer (not required but highly preferred)
  • Excellent typing skills (at least 40 wpm) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with ticketing systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and best practices
  • Certification in customer service or IT support (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced IT environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
