Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced full stack data engineer to join our Data Engineering team at blithequark. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines and systems that support our media business. This is a full-time remote position that offers a competitive salary of $27/hour and a range of benefits and perks.
Key Responsibilities
As a full stack data engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines and systems that support our media business
- Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies
- Creating and maintaining data sets, tables, and views using data modeling and design principles
- Developing and implementing data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop data-driven solutions
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and errors
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud computing
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and cloud design
- Experience with source control systems, including GitLab and GitHub
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Strong understanding of data modeling and design principles
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS and Azure
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
- Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks
- Certification in data engineering, cloud computing, or related fields
