Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Intake/Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role within our Utilization Review Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming calls for the Utilization Review Department and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel
  • Retrieving and transferring voicemail messages to designated nursing staff
  • Collecting demographic information for the creation and maintenance of patient files
  • Printing, mailing, faxing, and duplicating correspondence as necessary
  • Providing assistance with additional tasks as required to support departmental operations

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in computer usage, data entry, word processing, and handling multi-line phone systems
  • Strong attention to detail, solid organizational abilities, and excellent customer service skills
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not essential

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A starting wage of $16.50 per hour, based on experience
  • Eligibility for quarterly bonuses
  • Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or nights required
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Shift differential for the Monday-Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Hybrid work arrangement post-training, with the option to work remotely two days a week after completing the training period
