Job Summary

As an Online Chat Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients' website visitors through live chat support. You will be the first point of contact for many customers, and your role will be to respond to their queries, resolve their issues, and provide them with accurate and concise information. You will work closely with our Online Chat Manager to ensure that our clients' needs are met, and you will be expected to continually demonstrate your ability to stay calm under pressure while providing enthusiastic customer service.

Responsibilities

As an Online Chat Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns
  • Evaluating customer interactions and elevating issues to the Online Chat Manager when appropriate
  • Creating relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs
  • Responding to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and appropriately
  • Promoting interest in client products and services
  • Consistently achieving established standards of the position
  • Continually portraying and projecting a positive and professional image
  • Providing administrative support to the customer service team
  • May assist with overflow work and other duties as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment
  • PC keyboarding and internet experience needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
  • Upbeat, positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role
  • Ability to compose professional emails (a plus)
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic technical skills (able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications)
