Remote Prior Authorization Coordinator Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm CT (2 weeks)
- Work Schedule: Shifts vary between 7:00am – 8:00pm CT (8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday)
- Mandatory overtime may be required
- Fully remote – must have a private home office with a door and hardwired internet connection (no Wi-Fi)
Remote Prior Authorization Coordinator Responsibilities
- Perform non-clinical activities and functions under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Review and maintain compliance with ERISA, CMS, Medicaid, and client-specific requirements
- Sort and process incoming faxes and mail to meet service level agreements
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely transaction processing
- Collaborate with team members to meet business unit objectives
Remote Prior Authorization Coordinator Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months – 1 year of data entry experience required
- 1 year of healthcare-related experience (hospital, managed care, physician office, PBM) preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM (screenshot of recent test required)
- Must provide screenshot of internet speed test
- Must have a distraction-free home office with a door and hardwired internet
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
