About the Role: Pharmacy Technician - Work From Home Idaho
We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Mail order pharmacy team in Boise, ID, working from the comfort of your own home. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient medication orders, while providing exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculating doses and assigning directions.
- Verify insurance payment and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of patient medication orders.
- Respond to patient inquiries, coordinate and process new patient medication orders, and reorders, including verifying and re-verifying benefits.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License (or proof of application prior to starting).
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Six months of experience working in a pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency in Windows-Based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours) and utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions.
- Medical Billing, Coding, and other Medical assisting roles.
- Customer service experience in an office environment.
- Professional work experience involving inbound and/or outbound phone customer service.
- Strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and strong knowledge of computer programs.
Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or equivalent required.

Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
