Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to Member Inquiries: Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate responses to inquiries from members, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and chat.
  • Benefits and Coverage Guidance: Assist members with understanding their benefits, coverage, and claims processing, ensuring they have the information necessary to make informed healthcare decisions.
  • Computer System Navigation: Navigate various computer systems to access and update member information, process claims, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Escalation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex member concerns, striving to achieve first-call resolution whenever possible.
  • Empathy and Active Listening: Demonstrate empathy and active listening skills while addressing member concerns and inquiries, fostering positive relationships and trust.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: Prior customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of English grammar and spelling.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in navigating computer systems and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
