About the Role
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to create your own schedule while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students across various grade levels and subjects
- Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and respect
- Adapt to the needs of different schools, teachers, and students, demonstrating flexibility and a growth mindset
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and feedback
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to refine your skills and stay updated on best practices
Essential Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- NJ Substitute Credential
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or in a related educational role
- Specialized training or certifications in areas like Special Education, English as a Second Language (ESL), or STEM education
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and build strong relationships with school staff
