Job Summary

As an Online Chat Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support through online chat software. You will engage with visitors to our clients' websites, respond to their queries, and provide accurate and timely assistance. This is a remote position, and you will be working from home as part of our distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns
  • Evaluate customer interactions and elevate issues to the Online Chat Manager when appropriate
  • Create relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs
  • Respond to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and appropriately
  • Promote interest in client products and services
  • Consistently achieve established standards of the position
  • Continually portray and project a positive and professional image
  • Provide administrative support to the customer service team
  • May assist with overflow work and other duties as needed

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within a team-oriented environment
  • PC keyboarding and internet experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
  • Upbeat, positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role
  • Ability to compose professional emails
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic technical skills (able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications)
  • Upbeat, positive, kind, and empathetic personality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer support or a related field
  • Experience with online chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and technology
