We are seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Writer to join our team, working on Google products and services. As a UX Writer, you will play a critical role in shaping the content and user experience of our products, working closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality UI text that enables user navigation, including on-boarding, promos, error messages, educational materials, and other components of the end-to-end user experience.
• Drive vision for product language and content across a product or subject-matter domain, ensuring cohesive product narratives and documenting approaches with guidelines and best practices.
• Manage projects from conception to implementation, identifying opportunities, setting priorities, securing resources, and managing stakeholders.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, legal, marketing, product managers, and engineers to influence and adapt to stakeholder feedback.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior UX writers and train cross-functional partners on the role of UX writing and content strategy throughout the product development process.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Literature, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in writing, editorial, advertising, marketing, UX writing, or related fields, including significant content strategy projects.
• Experience in UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
• A portfolio highlighting UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience interacting with executive management.
• 5 years of writing, editorial, advertising, marketing, or UX writing experience in an organizational setting.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology organization.
• Experience developing information architecture for complex documentation systems or product suites, including localization and accessibility best practices.
• Knowledge of online technology and related products, including web and mobile UI and tools.
• Familiarity with user experience research standards and practices and the ability to use data to provide informed user insights.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
