Key Responsibilities

As an Entry Level Welder, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Welding large parts and frames of railroad equipment for repair, removal, or refinishing using various welding techniques and processes.
• Performing MIG welding on 3/8" structural welds on carbon steel material in horizontal and vertical positions.
• Conducting GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), Carbon Arc welding, torch cutting, and plasma cutting/grinding operations.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Embracing opportunities for professional growth and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MIG welding, particularly on 3/8" structural welds.
• Knowledge of dual shield/fluxcore welding, GMAW, and Carbon Arc welding processes.
• Familiarity with torch cutting and plasma cutting/grinding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, although formal training is not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
