Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and seasoned Audit Supervisor to join our dynamic audit team. As an Audit Supervisor, you will play a critical role in delivering multi-faceted and complex assignments and tasks for a variety of clients and businesses in the education sector. You will demonstrate a breadth and depth of professional knowledge and technical skills, sharing accountability with the manager and partner to ensure exceptional client service. Your expertise will be invaluable in leading the engagement team, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, and valuing the differences in others.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and guide other staff members in delivering complex audit assignments and tasks for clients in the education sector, including independent and charter schools
• Demonstrate technical expertise and professional knowledge in auditing, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
• Lead the engagement team, promoting a collaborative and flexible work environment that values diversity and inclusion
• Share accountability with the manager and partner to ensure exceptional client service, addressing issues and questions in a timely and professional manner
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and procedures

Essential Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, with an active pursuit of CPA certification
• Minimum 4+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools, preferably with a public accounting firm
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audit software and technology, such as audit management tools and data analytics platforms
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, including GAAP and GAAS
• Experience in leading or supervising audit teams, with a focus on developing and mentoring staff members
• Strong business development and marketing skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and build relationships with clients and referral sources
