As a key member of this dynamic team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff, supporting the college's mission to foster lifelong growth, opportunity, and discovery.

About the College of Arts and Sciences Student Services and Admissions Office

The Arts & Sciences Student Services and Admissions Office is a large and dynamic unit dedicated to providing one-stop student services to the college's 4,700 undergraduate students from admission to graduation. Our team is committed to guiding each student on their path to success, building a foundation for lifelong growth, opportunity, and discovery. As a Student Services Coordinator, you will be an integral part of this team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the university to support strategic enrollment goals and student success initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for special programs, including Cornell in Washington, the CAPS-Beijing Program, the International Exchange Program, and study abroad initiatives within the office.
  • Coordinate room scheduling activities using the university's 25Live system, ensuring efficient use of resources and facilities.
  • Assist with Academic Records Committee (ARC) tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records.
  • Provide scheduling support for First-Year Advising Seminars, ensuring seamless delivery of academic programs.
  • Coordinate front desk operations, including managing student worker assignments, to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery to students, staff, and faculty.
  • Collaborate with admissions, advising, and registrar/operations colleagues to support student success initiatives and strategic enrollment goals.
  • Serve as a resource to department undergraduate coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Partner with university offices, such as the Office of Global Learning, Bursar, Financial Aid, and the Office of the University Registrar, to support student success and enrollment initiatives.

  • Hold an Associate's degree and 2 to 4 years' experience or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Have strong attention to detail and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Have experience in or ability to quickly learn scheduling tools and student information systems.
  • Be passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Salesforce, degree audit, and the 25Live scheduling tool.
  • Knowledge of Cornell University and experience working in an academic unit.

Compensation and Perks

This is a full-time (39 hours/week) endowed position, based in Ithaca, NY, and fully on-site. The typical work hours are 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The salary range for this position is $23.50 - $27.67 per hour.
