We're now seeking an experienced Senior Global Quality Manager to join our Aerospace, Defense & Marine (ADM) Business Unit as a remote team member.

About the Role

The Senior Global Quality Manager is a critical leadership position within our Quality Organization, responsible for driving the execution of our Quality strategy to achieve world-class business performance. As the head of the SBU quality organization and a member of the SBU leadership team, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to improve product and process quality using principles of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Management System: Implement and refine the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Quality Initiatives: Drive the deployment of efficient and consistent procedures across the enterprise, focusing on 1ADM/1CP Quality initiatives.
  • Customer Quality: Interface with key customers to ensure compliance with product and process quality requirements, arrange for QC inspections, and respond to customer complaints.
  • Process Excellence: Engage cross-functionally to refine process excellence related to QPL Compliance to Mil-Spec Products for Government Agencies.
  • Metrics and Accountability: Implement and create accountability plans for plant-level metrics associated with quality (internal and external).
  • Talent Development: Ensure robust succession plans and talent pipelines to identify and develop bench strength to fill future leadership roles.
  • Travel and Global Leadership: Travel to MOG Facilities and key customer locations (25% to 50%), and manage multiple sites in MOG and related product lines in US, Mexico, and United Kingdom.
  • Quality Culture: Set the tone for a "Zero Defect Culture" and deploy continuous improvement/lean as the engine of delivering consistent and reliable operational performance.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or quality discipline (Graduate degree desired, but not essential).
  • Minimum 10 years of quality management experience in a discrete manufacturing company, preferably in the Aerospace industry.
  • Considerable Global leadership experience, working with Asia, Europe, and North America.
  • Experience in a low volume, high mix environment with high external quality documentation requirements typical of Defense and other mission-critical applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with technical writing skills and the ability to understand and apply technical information.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:

  • Experience in operationalizing strategy related to Global Quality organization and execution of strategic and operational initiatives.
  • A proven track record of building effective teams, driving results, and displaying initiative.
  • Structured problem-solving skills and experience.
  • A collaborative and adaptable leadership style with the ability to drive a positive culture.
