Job Summary

As a Remote Big Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the success of Southwest Airlines by working with all Data Science, AI, and Artificial Intelligence Groups across the enterprise to enable model deployment, implement and maintain model accuracy, and monitor data flow. This job fills in as a mid-level internal Advisor, responsible for driving the end-to-end life cycle of data management on different platforms, volumes, variety, and velocity of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives complex self-service data integration projects that unite data from dissimilar sources to make it accessible to business clients like data researchers, experts, and analytical clients.
• Drives informal groups to apply advanced data integration philosophies and tools to huge datasets to create arrangements which can be used in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.
• Drives communication with functional leaders across numerous and simultaneous projects.
• Drives definition and communication of solutions and decisions.
• Fills in as an informed authority for data resources and screens the continuous viability of data resources being used by business clients in self-service conditions.
• Upholds the continuous advancement of the Southwest Airlines data science focus and community.
• May perform other work obligations as directed by Employee's Managers.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Middle to advanced knowledge of both inductive and deductive reasoning and problem-solving approaches.
• Transitional knowledge in assessing and applying suitable data analysis and statistical method(s) for a business issue.
• Transitional knowledge of procuring and consuming data in both social and non-SQL databases.
• Halfway knowledge in integrating, storing, and handling a lot of data necessary for analysis and modeling.
• Skilled in at least one data programming language and open-source tools.
• Skilled in at least one data integration and business intelligence tool.
• Skilled in technology platforms and models relevant to creating and maintaining self-service data resources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience working with large datasets and complex data integration projects.
• Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools.
