Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Software Quality Engineer for Android Level 3 to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Android applications. As a key member of our remote team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to guarantee our Android apps meet the highest standards of performance, security, and accessibility. Key Responsibilities

• Android Application Testing: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing plans and test cases for Android applications, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and functionality standards.
• Test Automation: Create and maintain automated test scripts using Android testing frameworks such as Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium, to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Continuous Integration and Delivery: Collaborate with the development team to integrate testing into continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Github), ensuring smooth and efficient testing processes.
• Problem-Solving and Debugging: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues and bugs in Android applications, working closely with developers to implement fixes.
• Accessibility and Security Testing: Ensure Android applications are accessible to everyone and secure from vulnerabilities, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to translate requirements into test cases and ensure effective communication of testing results.
• Test Case Development: Translate wireframes, mock-ups, and requirements into executable test cases, leveraging automation platforms to streamline testing processes.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Testing Experience: 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Android platform testing.
• Android Development: 3+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a strong focus on the Android platform.
• Android Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Android application development using Java or Kotlin.
• Testing Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Android testing frameworks such as Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium.
• Continuous Integration: Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Github).
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work well in a team and individually.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to translate technical information into actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based services and technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
