Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Acute Neurology team at our Delton, MI location. As a full-time night shift RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals with complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and neurosurgical patients. Our 4 South med/surg floor is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and collaboration, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care and in accordance with health system policies, procedures, and ANA/regulatory standards
• Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity and coordination of care
• Acts as a patient/family advocate and provides emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Performs point of care testing as required and documents results accurately and timely
• Demonstrates a high standard of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior and adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses
• Assesses the overall needs of the patient/family and analyzes the assessment data to identify potential diagnoses or issues
• Develops and implements an individualized interprofessional plan of care that recommends strategies to achieve desired outcomes
• Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies to promote health literacy and self-management
• Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact and facilitates a smooth transition to the next point of service/home

Essential Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required
• State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License required upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in acute neurology or med/surg nursing
• Neuro-specific training or certification (e.g., CNRN, SCRN)
• Experience with electronic medical records and point of care testing
• Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Arabic)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and promoting health equity
