Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end examinations, including data collection and requirements detailing, processing, analysis, and presentation
• Apply advanced data science and AI techniques, including iterative development of analytics pipelines to provide insights at scale
• Develop and deploy large-scale technical solutions that deliver substantial, ongoing value
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that drive business outcomes
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
• Communicate complex technical concepts to senior audiences and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies

Essential Qualifications

Education

A graduate degree or equivalent in software engineering, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline is required. A Bachelor's degree with extensive experience may be considered.

Experience

Eight (8) years of work experience in applying data science (AI, machine learning, statistical analysis), operations research (optimization, algorithms, mathematical modeling), and data analytics to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve customer experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Technical background in computer science, data science, AI, machine learning, statistics, or other quantitative and computational sciences
• Proven history of designing and deploying large-scale technical solutions that deliver substantial, ongoing value
• Direct experience building and deploying effective, complex production systems that implement current data analytical techniques at scale
• Ability to context-switch and provide support to scattered teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong theoretical foundation in the mathematical core of data science concepts
• Master-level understanding of a class of modeling or analytical techniques
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools, including:
  • SKLearn, XGBoost, Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLlib, and other core ML structures
  • Python, Scala, Java, and other modern programming languages
  • MLFlow, Databricks, Flash, Kafka, and other data instruments and structures
  • CPLEX, Gurobi, and other similar optimization modeling packages

Preferred Qualifications

• A related postgraduate education may offset the applied experience requirements
• Experience working in a consulting or general management setting
• Experience as a head of multi-functional project teams
