American Airlines is currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Flight Attendants who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. This role is pivotal in enhancing the travel experience by delivering consistent in-flight services, including serving food and beverages, handling sales of onboard products, and adeptly managing diverse passenger interactions. Flight Attendants at American Airlines work both independently and collaboratively within a team to uphold an exceptional level of service and safety. The position involves a significant commitment to training, requiring candidates to participate in up to 6.5 weeks of unpaid training in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Upon successful completion, Flight Attendants will be assigned to one of several major base locations, including Boston, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Dallas-Fort Worth, New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, or Phoenix. The role demands a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and the possibility of extended hours, reflecting the dynamic nature of the airline industry. Flight Attendants are expected to prioritize passenger safety and comfort at all times, responding efficiently to both emergency and non-emergency situations, showcasing adaptability and professionalism. They will travel to various climates and locations worldwide, requiring physical stamina to handle tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting luggage, operating emergency exits, and pushing heavy food and beverage carts. The role also mandates strict adherence to uniform and grooming standards, including specific tattoo and piercing policies, to maintain American Airlines' professional brand image.   • Minimum age of 20 years
  • Pass DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Pass TSA fingerprint-based criminal history and background check
  • Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel unrestricted to and from all states and countries served by American Airlines
  • Willingness to relocate based on operational needs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours if necessary
  • Availability for on-call reserve duty
  • Meet physical requirements needed for safe operation of the aircraft including ability to sit in a jump seat, fasten harness, move through cabin aisles, operate emergency exits
  • No visible tattoos and no more than one earring per ear
  • Ability to attend 6.5 weeks of unpaid training in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
  • Ability to push/pull beverage and food carts with up to 60 pounds force and assist disabled passengers
  • Flexibility to alternative work schedules and extended shifts
  • Ability to spend consecutive nights away from home
  • Standing for extended periods and lifting luggage
