Experienced Overnight Customer Service Representative – Remote, 3rd Shift, 11pm-7am

Responsibilities and Duties

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to assist customers with their loan applications and queries
• Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to accounts, including loan applications, payment arrangements, and customer interactions
• Using basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions
• Communicating clearly, concisely, and effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing
• Maintaining a professional demeanor and showing sensitivity, tact, and empathy when interacting with customers
• Following written and/or verbal instructions and adhering to laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
• Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
• Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan and making recommendations accordingly
• Following up with customers to clarify important points and finalize loan details
• Staying up-to-date with lending and other financial services to provide expert advice and guidance to customers
• Creating and renewing records, including loan applications, payment arrangements, and customer interactions
• Identifying customer needs and exploring all options available to customers
• Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapting quickly to changing company needs
• Multi-tasking by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
• Meeting monthly individual goals as set by management

Required Skills

To succeed as an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you will need:

• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, even in tense situations
• Proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, and phone systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions

Preferred Education and/or Experience

While a minimum of a high school diploma/GED is required, we prefer candidates with:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
• Knowledge of financial services and lending products
• Familiarity with software applications, including MS Office and cloud-based storage

Technical Skills

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you will need to be proficient in:

• MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Internet and cloud-based storage
• Multiple software systems, including loan origination and customer relationship management systems

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

As a remote Customer Service Representative, you will need to:

• Sit for long periods of time, talking and listening constantly
• Work a 3rd shift schedule, from 11pm to 7am
• Be fully remote after an initial 1-week training period, during which you will work on-site from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
