About the Role

We're on the hunt for a seasoned professional to fill the role of Data Entry and Tax Information Director within our thriving Expense Group. As a key supporter of our tax association, you'll be responsible for driving innovation and meeting the data needs of our organization. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the company, from business front-end to engineering mid-stream and accounting back-end, to ensure the integrity of our tax data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify tax data and technology needs, define requirements, and manage implementation.
• Work closely with data teams and engineers to design new data sources and tooling to meet the tax group's needs.
• Continuously challenge the status quo and explore smarter, more efficient ways to get things done.
• Solve complex problems using data on a large scale.
• Experiment with cutting-edge technologies, such as AI and machine learning, to bring innovative solutions to tax.
• Participate in defining the company's tax data and automation roadmap.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure the integrity of our tax data flows.
• Lift the tax group's understanding and use of automation technologies through team knowledge sharing.
• Apply your experience creating workflows in Alteryx Cloud to drive process improvements.

Essential Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
• Experience managing large sets of financial data.
• 4+ years of data and automation experience; tax-related data experience is a plus.
• Experience creating workflows in Alteryx Cloud.
• Deep experience running SQL queries.
• Knowledge of technology tools like Alteryx Desktop, Snowflake, Python.
• Experience writing business requirements and testing to support large data projects.
• Insight into participating in the exploration and testing of new data sets.
• Proficiency in using various productivity programs (Monday.com, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong empathy and compassion for others.

Preferred Capabilities

• Experience with AI, Statistical Analysis, Database, and ETL best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages and reviewing code for accuracy.
• Alteryx Center Certification.
• CMI, or CMI candidate.
