Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the undergraduate program and the Master of Public Policy program, with a focus on public finance, economics, and statistics
  • Advise students and assist with assessment for accreditation
  • Develop and deliver high-quality courses, both online and in-residence, that meet the needs of diverse student populations
  • Participate in normal university service and contribute to the development of the School of Public Policy
  • Engage in activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and foster a culture of respect and empathy

Qualifications and Requirements

A Master's degree or higher in public policy, public management, economics, or a related field is required for this position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence. In addition, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting, particularly in the fields of public finance, economics, and statistics
  • A strong record of student engagement and mentoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community
