Job Summary

We're looking for a talented and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our charter school-based team in San Jose, CA. As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with state and federal regulations
• Provide high-quality, student-centered instruction that caters to diverse learning needs and abilities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of services
• Assess student progress, adjust instruction, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and innovative strategies in special education
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth, academic achievement, and student empowerment

Essential Qualifications:

• Graduate degree from a teaching program (Special Education)
• Current license as a Special Education Teacher in California
• Demonstrated experience in special education, preferably in a charter school setting
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with diverse learning populations, including students with autism, ADHD, and other special needs
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment
