Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to students, as scheduled, to support their academic development and progress.
• Assist with classroom management, including organizing instructional materials and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
• Compile and maintain accurate student records, including attendance, testing results, student progress, and achievement.
• Offer instructional support to classroom instructors, providing information and materials as needed.
• Conduct parent involvement activities, including parent-teacher conferences, home visits, and communication via phone or email.
• Coordinate parent/family school functions, fostering a collaborative relationship between students, parents, and instructors.
• Attend meetings and conferences to provide information, facilitate communication, and support student success.
• Provide support in library or media centers, as needed.
• Conduct progress monitoring assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including preparing program newsletters, school announcements, and bulletins.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Completed two years (48 semester credits) of study at an institution of higher education, or obtained an associate's degree.
• Met a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrated knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness).
• Ability to maintain effective communication with students and staff, functioning effectively as a team member.
• Ability to carry out and evaluate student achievement, with support from certified teachers.
• Demonstrated instructional technology skills.
• Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds in an instructional setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly valued.
• Experience with progress monitoring assessments and data management.
