About the Role

We are looking for a highly qualified and certified Middle School Music Teacher to work with our students in a virtual learning environment. As a Middle School Music Teacher, you will be responsible for managing instructional programs, consulting with learning coaches and students, and ensuring that each child successfully completes their instructional program. You will also be responsible for creating progress reports, conducting parent conferences, and supporting the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs and consult with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of instructional programs
• Create progress reports and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner
• Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction
• Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding
• Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers on a regular basis to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules
• Score assessments, provide feedback on student work, and suggest instructional approaches and strategies
• Monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program
• Develop a general knowledge of the entire program's K-12 curriculum and a very detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible
• Support students and parents with alternate strategies and provide additional assistance with daily assignments and projects

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly qualified and certified to teach in Pennsylvania (appropriate to grade level responsibilities). You will also need to have strong technology skills, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach with a high degree of flexibility. Additionally, you will need to be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and be a team player with a track record of working collaboratively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Valid PA Driver's License and appropriate automobile insurance coverage
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field
• Teaching certificate in Music Education or a related field
