Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication, resolving complex issues, and delivering compassionate care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, healthcare providers, and internal partners.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and resolving clinical issues.
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system.
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
  • Utilize superb communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude.
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
