About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Specialist to join our Customer Mission Operations (CMO) team in a remote capacity. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing timely and effective support across various channels, including phone, email, and live chat. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs, taking appropriate actions, and escalating issues when necessary. Your goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure that our customers are kept informed throughout their entire experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers across various channels, including phone, email, and live chat, to deliver exceptional customer service and support
  • Handle all critical situations, including complaints and escalated cases, with professionalism and efficiency
  • Manage each customer case from initiation to resolution, ensuring that the customer is kept informed throughout their entire experience
  • Provide quotes, process sales orders, document complaints, and address service issues related to shipments, billing, warranty, and product inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed support to customers

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or client-facing roles, preferably in the life sciences industry
  • Highly skilled and experienced in information technology, time, and project management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems, such as Salesforce or Oracle
  • Experience in conducting in-house training or coaching
  • Familiarity with life sciences industry trends and products
  • Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
