Job Summary

The Customer Service Coordinator will be responsible for interacting with customers in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner, promoting and selling air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders, and providing assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders
  • Provides assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance
  • Interprets authorities' guidelines and requirements for domestic and international travel or shipment shipments
  • Meets and dispatches planes within set-up times
  • Provides assistance to distressed passengers and customers
  • Protects company assets and revenue
  • Provides for a safe journey
  • Possesses the physical capability and dexterity to perform various job-related duties
  • Uses organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited timeframe
  • Is self-motivated and requires minimum supervision
  • Responds and assists during safety and emergency situations
  • Follows internal/external regulations and procedures
  • May be required to drive and operate air stairs to various types of aircraft to enplane and deplane passengers
  • Responsible for the overall performance in the work location and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employees
  • May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control capabilities, including air-to-ground communication and Tower capabilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • Read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Bilingual language skills are required in some locations
  • Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities
  • Must satisfy FAA criminal history checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Must be able to obtain stable airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
  • Ability to work abnormal and/or prolonged hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work on a regular and timely basis

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
